The Dolphins are coming off a surprising home loss to the Titans on Monday night in which they blew a late 14-point lead in a 28-27 defeat.
The Dolphins are back at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday to host the rival Jets, facing their AFC East foes for the second time in four weeks.
These squads hooked up for a Black Friday affair at MetLife Stadium in Week 12, as the Dolphins pulled away for a 34-13 blowout victory as 10-point favorites.
The Jets snapped a five-game losing streak in last Sunday’s 30-6 rout of the Texans as three-point home underdogs.
Zach Wilson returned under center, and threw for 301 yards and two touchdowns as Gang Green scored all 30 points in the second half.
The Jets are 2-3 on the road this season, but only one of those victories came away from MetLife Stadium.
The Jets outlasted the Broncos, 31-21, in Week 5, but their other win came as the “road” team in an overtime triumph over the Giants in Week 8.
The Dolphins won and covered their first four home games before failing to cover in a seven-point victory over the Raiders then lost their first contest at Hard Rock Stadium in last week’s meltdown against Tennessee.
Dolphins’ star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is listed as questionable with an ankle injury sustained in the Titans loss.
Hill leads the NFL with 1,542 receiving yards along with 12 receiving touchdowns, and he pulled in 102 yards against the Jets in late November.
Obviously, Hill’s status is important for Miami’s success offensively so that is a major key in this game.
The Dolphins will want to bounce back from last week’s loss, but the Jets definitely will look to avenge the Black Friday loss in which Wilson sat out.
