    The Superstar Has A Message For George Pickens

    It’s never okay to lose, especially if you play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    And what’s even less okay is not putting up 100% effort.

    That’s why George Pickens has been under heavy fire this week after a clip of him deciding not to block for Jaylen Warren went viral.

    Pickens even acknowledged that he didn’t want to run block out of fear of being injured, and it’s not the first time he’s been tangled up in controversy this season.

    That’s why former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky asked when this kind of thing became okay in an organization like the Pittsburgh Steelers (via Get Up)

    “When did this become okay in Pittsburgh? I played for organizations that weren’t good. This is the kind of stupid stuff that we did. We weren’t the Steelers,” Orlovsky said.

    Orlovsky added that this was the kind of thing his bad teams did when he played in the league; not something you would expect from such a historic franchise.

    Truth be told, that seemed to be right on point with what Ben Roethlisberger said about the team.

    Big Ben believes the team’s tradition is long gone, calling out the lack of leadership and poor coaching and pointing out that players simply aren’t being held accountable anymore.

    The Steelers’ blueprint has always been their effort and their physicality, and we can’t see any of those aspects in this year’s team.

    Pickens is one of the most talented young players in the league and he should have a bright future ahead of him.

    But Mike Tomlin needs to make him take pride in playing for one of the toughest and most respected organizations in the National Football League.
