Los Angeles Lakers power forward Rui Hachimura has been demoted to being merely questionable to suit up for tomorrow’s road bout against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the 6’8″ big out of Gonzaga suffered a fall last night during LA’s 118-111 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves and hurt his left wrist. Now, with what’s being called “left wrist soreness,” that could see him miss a critical contest for Los Angeles. LA has lost four straight and five of its last six. Hachimura is the club’s third big, and there was a chance he might start again (as he did Thursday for LeBron James), because both James and Anthony Davis are questionable, too. James has what’s being called a left ankle peroneal tendinopathy, while Davis is now dealing with a left ankle sprain/bone bruise. It seems his left adductor spasm has resolved itself at least. Or maybe the Lakers just ran out of space on the injury report. Buha adds that guards Gabe Vincent and, less importantly, Jalen Hood-Schifino, as well as power forward Jarred Vanderbilt, are all listed as being probable to play. We’ll know soon enough. The action tips off at 5 p.m. Tomorrow night.
