It would be huge if the Packers won this weekend and if the Vikings lost this weekend to make that matchup even more meaningful with the playoffs on the line. This is going to most likely be the sixth game this season that Watson will have missed because of the hamstring injury.

He has struggled to be on the field this season and it has been a sophomore slump for him. When Watson has played this year, he has caught 28 passes for 422 yards receiving and five touchdowns. His average yards per catch is 15.1 and also has been targeted 53 times by quarterback Jordan Love.
If for some off reason Christian Watson missed next week to go along with not possibly playing this weekend, would his future be in doubt with the franchise or would they bring him back next season? If the Packers were to lose against Carolina, they may just shut him down for the season and not risk anything further with the hamstring issues.
Even When Christian Watson Returns He Should Not See the Field Automatically For the Green Bay Packers But Matt LaFleur Will Play Him Right Away
Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs have also played well this season. Yes, Green Bay will probably not do that because they view Watson as their number-one wide receiver no matter what. Head coach Matt LaFleur will make sure he gets used in the offense when he returns to game action against the Minnesota Vikings.
