The Green Bay Packers had their fair share of dramatic situations involving Aaron Rodgers over the years.
Ironically, most of the issues between the former Packers QB and the front office came during his final few years with the franchise, and he was named NFL MVP in two of those years (2020 and 2021)
Now, Green Bay has moved on and is focused on making the playoffs with their future franchise signal caller Jordan Love, who has already proven capable of picking up where Rodgers left off and has a bevy of young, explosive talent surrounding him on offense.
The future is bright for the Packers — and if Joe Barry’s defense can hold up against the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears to close out the regular season — Matt LaFelurs team will sneak into the playoffs with a NFC wildcard spot in a season many believed would be a rebuild with the youngest roster in the NFL.
There’s no reason the Pack should lose to the Vikings, especially with Minnesota starting rookie Jaren Hall at quarterback, who saw his first NFL action when Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles at Lambeau Field earlier this season.
Hall was 3-of-4 passing with 23 yards and helped Minnesota close out a 24-10 win over Green Bay in Week 8. He started at Atlanta the following week and led two offensive possessions, going 5-of-6 passing with 78 yards before suffering a concussion.
Hall hasn’t played since Week 8, so the Pack have a prime opportunity to secure the win and inch one step closer to the playoffs.
Sunday’s game is pivotal for both teams’ playoff aspirations. According to Next Gen Stats, a win for either side would improve their chances of making the postseason significantly (31 percent to 49 percent for Minnesota, 25 percent to 55 percent for Green Bay). A loss drops both teams’ playoff chances to less than 4 percent.
Meanwhile in the Big Apple, the New York Jets have been eliminated from playoff contention but continue to remain one of the biggest storylines in the NFL because of former Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers.

Last week, Aaron Rodgers dominated headlines yet again when the New York Jets made the decision to elevate their injured QB to the active roster, which resulted in a veteran fullback being cut.
He’s no stranger to the haters over his long NFL career.
Rodgers adamantly defended the decision and made it clear it wasn’t his decision, yet members of the media, fans, and talking heads across the internet continue to take jabs at the Jets QB.
According to Undisputed host Skip Bayless, Aaron Rodgers has earned the title of a “master media manipulator,” surpassing even his Super Bowl victories, NFL MVP awards, and other accolades. In a discussion about Rodgers’ unconventional 2023, Bayless commended the quarterback for making himself a central figure in an NFL season where he played minimal football.
“Aaron Rodgers is the ultimate media master manipulator,” Bayless said. “He just pulled off, year long, being the most talked about, written about, debated about New York Jet and he played four snaps this year. And he managed to keep himself in the center of attention, week after week after week, by dangling, teasing this little caveat, that I’m going to shatter the mold, I’m going to come back way faster than anyone ever has from Achilles reattachment.
