PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers got two starters back on the field as they continue preparation for Week 18 against the Baltimore Ravens. After missing the first day of practice, both inside linebacker Elandon Roberts and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick returned as limited participants.
Roberts missed last week after suffering a pectoral injury in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He missed all three practices last week and remained on the sideline for the first walk-through of this week before returning to the field on Day 2.
He told reporters he’s pushing to get back on the field this week against the Ravens but is taking the injury one day at a time as he attempts a return.
As for Fitzpatrick, he’s missed the last two games due to a knee injury that he suffered in Week 15 against the Indianapolis Colts. His return to practice marked his first time on the field since the injury occurred.
The Steelers are still monitoring the injuries to Fitzpatrick and Roberts, as well as safety Trenton Thompson (neck), and Cam Heyward (groin), who were all limited.
Running back Najee Harris (knee) did not practice.
