The Steelers linebackers have been amongst the most snake bitten position groups in the NFL this season. They lost both Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander to season-ending injuries in the middle of the season, and Elandon Roberts has dealt with various injuries down the stretch,
He injured his groin against the Arizona Cardinals, which caused him to miss the second half of the game, and injured his pectoral muscle against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16. The pectoral injury forced him to miss the Week 17 contests against the Seattle Seahawks, but Roberts said he is good to go for the season finale.
“I’m cool, I’m playing,” Roberts said.
With Roberts saying he’s good to go, the expected off-ball linebacker rotation will likely consist of Roberts, Myles Jack, and Mykal Walker, and Mark Robinson.
With a win and a loss by either the Jacksonville Jaguars or Buffalo Bills, the Steelers will clinch a Wildcard spot in the AFC playoffs.
